Hi MC, Do you still survey sakura ebi catch data this year for Gueisan fishing ground ?
so far, catch seems to be good this year, better price , between 180 to 200 /kg, depends on which seafood processor company.Few more vessels may acquire net and equipment to join ebi trawling this season too
Not sure if Japanese tsunami /earthquake/radiation disaster might have any impact to this fishery, in coming monthes.

我還很關心大溪的櫻蝦產業，從船長及你們偶而會得到一些訊息，真的要感謝你們。東港櫻蝦在陳守仁博士退休後，就沒有人願意做蒐集漁獲資料等看不到立即成績的工作了。目前水試所沒有繼續龜山島櫻蝦資源的變動的調查。很多管理的事情，都回歸到櫻蝦船業者組成的產銷班自己在處理，今年產量和價格確實不錯。
陳丁目的船隊好像縮減了，另外收購櫻蝦的加工廠多了溪和公司一家。
龜山島櫻蝦漁場範圍不大，所以作業船隻維持在20-30之間，各方面都好。
我很想找個時間跟林船長出海，測量櫻蝦網的網口上下左右張開大小，網具沉降變動情形。

estimate about 4-5 new equipment sale this season, that should have good indication for the demand and supply, some captain commented recent bottom trawling catch not so good, that may be another reason prompted them to consider trawling sakura ebi. yes, 日盛 shrinked their purchasing to only 4 vessels (include 丁木 and 讚福) most of vessels catch sold to 新興 and 大溪食品。溪和(溪泉) about 2-3 vessels. and we started to see these seafood processor subsidise equipment purchase price like Chen did before. it means stronger market demand in channel, that promoted seafood processor willing to pay money first to secure catch source.

日本靜岡縣捕櫻蝦用的漁具漁法是屬於圍網(purse seine)的一種，類似台灣所稱的扒網。台灣東港及宜蘭捕櫻蝦用的漁具漁法是屬於拖網(trawling net)的一種，稱為單拖。
我一直夢想著改變台灣捕櫻蝦的方法，漁民就不需要辛苦去挑出混獲的雜魚蝦，我們也可以品嚐鮮活美味的櫻蝦。
